Keeping your money safe from fraudsters can be a constant worry. The number of increasingly sophisticated scams operating online, on the phone, through the post, and in person can make it all-too easy to fall victim.

There are a lot of tips available for keeping yourself and your money safe, but according to one Reddit user, the best ways are very simple. One user posted on the social media site saying they work for in the fraud department of a major bank, and inviting questions from users.

The top question was: "What things do you do differently than an average person to protect yourself from fraud ?"

The user replied: "As boring as it sounds my main ones are this: if you’re in the UK, NEVER pay for anything via bank transfer unless you are physically with the item
