Cherished Springwatch presenter Chris Packham has revealed he's had a recent trip to Southampton hospital, which resulted in an invasive procedure to secure a biopsy. ‌

The BBC wildlife expert informed his followers he had expected the experience would be "a bit unpleasant and uncomfortable". ‌

He endured both a gastroscopy and colonoscopy after the detection of a polyp, and disclosed the ordeal turned out to be far less intimidating than he had anticipated. ‌

The nature advocate provided updates to his extensive Instagram following from the hospital café whilst chronicling the experience online, reports Express.

He confessed: "I got to watch it all... it was better
