The DeKalb County, Alabama, Sheriff's Office is searching for an armed suspect wanted in a deputy-involved shooting.

Gary Jody Childers was last seen near Jones Road and Barry Street, fleeing through a large patch of woods, according to officials.

Childers was seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
