CHICAGO — Less than 24 hours after an appeals court put a hold on his required daily check-ins with a federal judge, Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino will be back in federal court in Chicago on Thursday morning, this time to sit down for a sworn deposition along with two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) directors.
The deposition is scheduled to get underway behind closed doors at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse around 10 a.m. Bovino must be there Thursday, even after an appeals court ruled he doesn’t have to do the daily check-ins for the time being.
Thursday's depositions will be recorded and are expected to last about five hours.
