ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Charles City Police are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed overnight.

According to St. Charles City Police, officers were called to investigate an assault in the 1500 block of Rutgers Drive around 2 a.m.

Police say a 47-year-old man was killed in a stabbing and was found in the 1700 block of Sherman Drive after leaving the original scene.

The police department says a juvenile was involved and has been detained, and there is no further threat to the community.

The incident is under investigation.
