The rematch on Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills will be the ninth head-to-head meeting between quarterbacks Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.

The key stat will be which teams have won which games. The Bills have won the last four regular-season matchups, while the Chiefs have won the previous four postseason matchups. Which in turn would give the Chiefs the edge, having won the games that matter. Last year, during Week 11, the Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21 to hand Kansas City its first loss of the season after the Chiefs started the season 9-0. Both Kansas City and Buffalo enter Week 9 with a top-five offense, as the Bills rank third overall with 382.9 yards per game and the Chiefs rank fifth with 378.3 yards per game.

Patrick Mahomes is tied for first with 17 touchdown passes this season, and with at least three touchdown passes on Sunday, it will mark Mahomes' fourth consecutive game with at least 3 touchdown passes, a feat he has only accomplished twice in his career (2018, 2021). On Sunday, Mahomes can also move past Hall of Fame QB Dan Marino for the most games ever throwing for at least 3 touchdown passes in a player's first nine seasons. As it stands, they're both tied at 46 games.

This week, Josh Allen will not be denied with a statistic of his own ready to be broken. He sits at 46 games with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. Moving past Cam Newton, who has 45. This game will be one of the most anticipated games of the season, and as always, a potential AFC Championship game preview.
