Mumbai: Digital healthcare platform MediBuddy has released new data revealing a sharp rise in early metabolic and lifestyle-related risk factors among professionals aged 30 to 40 years, indicating that lifestyle diseases are setting in earlier than expected.
The analysis, based on health data from 14,192 individuals in this age group, found that 59 per cent were obese and 19 per cent overweight, reflecting a significant body mass index (BMI) burden. Dyslipidaemia was also widespread, with 38 per cent showing borderline or high triglyceride levels, 30 per cent registering elevated total cholesterol, and 45 per cent recording low levels of HDL or “good” cholesterol.
