DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Halloween is only a couple of days away and one Davenport family’s display is anything but grave.
It’s a hidden Halloween display, buried in one Davenport neighborhood that’s known as the “New Castle Cemetery.”
“We wanted to start making things that you couldn’t get in the stores, we wanted to set ourselves apart from just buying the same prop that everybody else has access to,” said Joe Janz, Davenport homeowner. “So, this allowed us to be a little more creative.”
It’s creativity that keeps Janz busy, even when his favorite holiday comes and goes.
“We started branching out into tombstones and it’s a fun little hobby to have in the off-season,” Janz said.
But for Janz, it’s also a labor of love making the Halloween spectacle come to life.
