DULUTH — It took over seven hours of driving to get to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but once we arrived, they didn't make us wait long for the payoff.
I walked through the doors of the Shipwreck Museum Gallery, and there, front and center, was the burnished bell of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" was playing in the gallery, and I thought, well, they know what we came for.
