Today, a low pressure system is spinning off to our east, which means clearer skies for us. Northwest winds will be a bit gusty, especially this morning, with speeds between 15 and 25 mph. We expect these winds to gradually diminish this afternoon, offering some relief.
Tonight, some locally dense fog could be possible, particularly in the valleys of southeast Missouri. This is something we will be monitoring closely, especially for any impacts on travel, as temperatures dip. Cooler than normal temperatures are definitely sticking around through the weekend and into Monday.
We’re anticipating the coolest air to arrive over the weekend, and we might even see temperatures dip low enough in some sheltered valley areas for a light frost. This cooler pattern means temperatures will be running
