PARMA, Ohio -- Motorists who frequent popular cut-through street Grantwood Drive should expect delays over the next month.

Parma City Engineer Hasmukh Patel said the Cleveland Water Department is targeting roughly 100 homes for work.

“Cleveland Water is removing the existing lead connections along Grantwood Drive, from State Road to Norfolk Drive,” he said.

“Construction warning signs have been posted. During construction, the road will be closed for through traffic and open only for local traffic and emergency vehicles.”

The work started last week and is expected to be completed by Nov. 21.

“Part of the 100 connections are 30 connections that will be removed near Shiloh Middle School,” he said.

“These connections will be removed when school is out of session.”
