While most of the country has been gathering at TV sets for World Series games between Canada’s lone Major League Baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays , and the reigning-champion Los Angeles Dodgers, the Roughriders will get together to watch this weekend’s CFL playoff telecasts. “I would love to be playing,” said Riders receiver Kian Schaffer-Baker. “But watching and making money while resting, it ain’t bad either.”
The Roughriders finished first in the West, earning a bye into the league’s second playoff round, and will get paid $3,400 apiece whether they watch or not. Another $3,600 awaits them for hosting the divisional final Nov. 8 against the winner of Saturday’s semifinal
