A $2,750 contribution from the Port Sanilac Farmers Market is expected to help improve traffic flow at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum next season, according to a community announcement.
The donation includes a $750 seasonal lease payment and an additional $2,000 gift earmarked for expanding the museum’s main driveway entrance along M-25. The project is scheduled to widen the entrance from 55 feet to 70 feet in early 2026, making it easier for visitors to enter and exit during the busy Friday market hours.
“These funds from the market will go directly to this infrastructure improvement. I think it goes hand in hand as an appropriate investment,” said Dan Finn, administrator of the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.
