New developments in the fight over redistricting in Maryland despite the state Senate president saying it will not happen. The governor is saying otherwise.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is advocating for fair elections. Senate President Bill Ferguson opposed changes due to high risks and a dangerous timeline.
“If these other states are going to have a process to determine whether or not to have fair elections, then the state of Maryland should do the same. The general assembly is a large body,” Moore said. “So while I have read the Senate president’s letter, I know that one person cannot stop the process.”
