A gun was found at this Budd Lake hotel

A 22-year-old North Carolina man was arrested and charged after his handgun was found underneath his pillow at a Budd Lake hotel, authorities announced Thursday, Oct. 30.

At 1:08 p.m., officers responded to the Baymont by Wyndham on 102 Route 46 in Budd Lake after a firearm was found inside the room by the cleaning staff, Mount Olive police said.

A Glock handgun was located under a pillow on the bed in the room was loaded with a15-capacity magazine, police said. 

The owner of the handgun, Brian Ramos, responded to police headquarters where he was placed under arrest and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of a  high capacity magazine, police said.

He was released pending a court hearing, police said.
