SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Veterans on the final Honor Flight of the Ozarks for this year returned home Wednesday night to a crowd of supporters at the Springfield-Branson National Airport.

The plane departed on Wednesday morning with 81 veterans and their guardians to visit military memorials and Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., at no charge.

A crowd of people showed up at the airport to welcome the veterans home.

This flight is the last of the year. Next year’s dates have not been announced yet, but individuals can apply to have a veteran in their life participate in an honor flight by visiting the Honor Flight of the Ozarks website at the link below.
