The legendary Route 66 and the many communities along it are officially on the virtual map.
Google Arts & Culture has unveiled a new project that takes users on an online road trip down the historic highway, celebrating the people and places that make the “Mother Road” an American icon.
Stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles, Route 66 is one of the most famous highways in the world.
“It connects America, from Chicago to L.A. and everywhere in between,” said Chance Coughenour, Senior Program Manager at Google Arts & Culture.
