Thousands of dollars worth of donations were stolen from inside a catholic church in Watertown, Massachusetts, this week.

The incident at St. Patrick's Church, which was reported to police around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, occurred sometime after 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to the police department, which confirmed it is investigating the larceny.

An estimated $9,000 in donations was stolen from inside the church at 212 Main Street, police added.

No arrests have been announced.
