Prepare for a shootout.
Rutgers faces Illinois on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, where an entertaining game with plenty of points is set to take place. The Scarlet Knights (4-4, 1-4) and Fighting Illini (5-3, 2-3) have two of the worst defenses in the Big Ten and two above-average offenses that will look to exploit that.
The meeting comes a little under a year since the 38-31 thriller that played out in Piscataway last fall, which went back-and-forth before Illinois earned the win in stunning fashion in the final seconds.
The Rutgers Rant is back to preview the rematch between both sides, why the game projects to be a high-scoring affair and what head coach Greg Schiano said about the injuries plaguing his team heading into the matchup.
