SPOKANE, Wash. – An on-duty firefighter left with minor injuries while responding to a house fire near 1st Avenue and Napa Street with the Spokane Fire Department.
Homeowners called to report the fire around 5:15 a.m., according to the Spokane Fire Department.
Within five minutes, firefighters were on scene and were able to put the fire out.
The fire, which had been in the attic of the house, did not injure any of the home’s occupants.
During the response, one Spokane firefighter cut his finger while pulling the hose and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Investigation into the fire is ongoing.
