HBCU culture invaded the West Coast for the Inaugural P&G Las Vegas HBCU Classic , bringing together alumni, current students , and more to celebrate the legacy of both Grambling State University and Jackson State University . In the three-day span of Oct. 24-26, the bands, pep squads, and, of course, football teams made sure to leave their stamp on Sin City. Landing at the Harry Reid International Airport ahead, hundreds of supporters proudly wore paraphernalia, letting it be known why they made the trip. In fact, as the weekend continued, several alumni of both institutions revealed that the weekend was their first time in the tourist city, some even their first time on a plane.
