The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday announced that the Class X and XII board examinations will commence from 17 February 2026. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE will conduct two separate board examinations for Class X next year. The move is aimed at providing students with greater flexibility and reducing exam-related stress.

For the first time, the board has issued date sheets nearly 110 days before the start of the examinations.
