Bhubaneswar: The Central government has agreed to bear the entire cost for the construction of 92 railway over-bridges across Odisha.

This decision was taken after the state government requested the Railway Ministry to take full responsibility for the project, initially planned as a 50:50 cost-sharing venture. ADVERTISEMENT

The Railway Ministry has formally approved the proposal, paving the way for the construction of these critical infrastructure projects.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for this generous support.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister’s consistent focus on Odisha’s development, particularly in enhancing the state’s rail, road, port, and air infrastructure.
