The Ontario Provincial Police have charged three people with murder in connection with the disappearance of a Smiths Falls man two years ago.

A man and woman from the Smiths Falls area, as well as a man from Kingston, were to appear in court Thursday charged with first-degree murder in the death of Robbie Thomson, who was reported missing in October 2023.

“His body has not been located, but the investigation has determined that Thomson was the victim of a homicide,” police said Thursday morning.

Authorities had recently offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible in the case.
