CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Like someone who looks back at vacation photos to remember what the beautiful scenery looks like, Zac Taylor kept tabs on Samaje Perine when the veteran running back was on other teams in 2023 and 2024.

“I always used to watch his tape when he was in Kansas City in Denver,” Taylor said. “I’d go through every week and watch his protections and just consistent throughout his entire career.”

Perine was a role player on the Bengals in 2020 and 2021, became a key part of the offense in 2022 but then signed a three-year deal with the Broncos heading into 2023. The Bengals would have loved to have brought him back, but Perine went with another option.
