The volleyball regular season in Michigan is longer than anything offered during the fall.

They’re the last to meet the postseason, though that’ll change once the clocks turn over to November next week.

Because of the grind, there will be some performances that don’t always measure up, but the goal is to get them out of the way before district play.

The Petoskey volleyball team did that when they welcomed Alpena on senior night on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

While Petoskey pulled out a four-set win (25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 25-17), they needed a four-point comeback late in the first set, then again had to battle through to earn the eventual victory.
