ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - As of Nov. 1, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are not available in Georgia as the government shutdown continues.
About 1.4 million Georgians, or 1 in 8 residents, rely on SNAP to put food on the table, government data shows. Recipients can still use leftover funds from previous months, but no new money will be added to the EBT cards.
