Oct. 29—BALLSTON SPA — Ronald Rayher, a Milton chiropractor, was sentenced Wednesday to several years in state prison for recklessly causing the death of a Ticonderoga entertainer by dosing him repeatedly with homemade chloroform for sexual role-play.

Visiting Saratoga County Judge Lorraine C. Diamond sentenced him to the maximum five-to-15 years in prison for manslaughter in Rayher’s killing of Thomas “TJ” Krider, 40. The judge also sentenced him to one and one-third years to four years for evidence tampering, which will run concurrent with his manslaughter sentence, saying that Krider’s death was “tragic and wholly preventable.
