The Enumclaw High doubles tandem of King Gisa and William Stuenkel will be in action later this week, competing in the West Central District tennis tournament.

The courts will be packed Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, at the Boeing Employees Tennis Club in Kent. On hand will be the top singles and doubles players from the Class 4A and Class 3A ranks throughout the district.

The ultimate reward is a spot in the state tournament, which takes place in the spring. Gisa and Stuenkel will be competing for a berth in the 3A state festivities, slated for May 22-23 at the Vancouver Tennis Center in Southwest Washington.

From the 3A district level, six doubles teams and six singles entries will advance to the spring tourney.
