Opposition leader Sussan Ley has defied calls from within her own party to stop making such an issue out of what the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese chose to wear while alighting from the RAAF VIP transport plane earlier this week, doubling down on criticism that the dress was “offensive” and “inappropriate”.

This week, Albanese returned from a conference in Asia where he rubbed shoulders again with US President Donald Trump and leaders from all over the APAC region. Upon landing back in Australia, the Prime Minister was spotted wearing a sheer “chainmail” dress that many conservative commentators have said exposed too much of the prime ministerial skin and left little to the imagination.
