KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) and the City of Knoxville are offering free rides on Nov. 4.
Ahead of Election Day, KAT and the City of Knoxville announced that all transit rides, including Life paratransit, will be fare-free.
“Election Day is a vital time for our community to come together and make our voices heard,” said Isaac Thorne, Executive Director. “By offering fare-free rides across our system, we’re helping to reduce barriers and encourage participation in the election process.”
KAT will follow regular schedules and routing on Election Day. Riders can find route information at katbus.com .
