KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department has announced the details of Lt. Gordon Gwathney’s funeral service. The well-known lieutenant was killed on a hunting trip Sunday after 30 years with the department.
Monday, KPD has invited the community to pay respects at a public viewing at Atchley Funeral Home (122 Peacock Ct, Seymour, TN). That’s slated for 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. KPD added that Gwathney’s family would not be present for the viewing.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., KPD again invited people to attend a receiving of friends at Seymour First Baptist Church (11621 Chapman Highway, Seymour, TN). Funeral services will follow.
