ASHDOWN, Ark. – U.S. ranchers are responding to a proposal to import beef from Argentina, which the Trump administration believes would drive down prices at the grocery store.
U.S. Congressman Bruce Westerman (AR-R) recently visited with ranchers at Davis Feed in Ashdown to discuss President Donald Trump's plan and the effect it’s had on cattle prices. He says producers were looking forward to a profitable year before the announcement.
“If you look at it, it's not really enough beef to interrupt the markets and it's also not enough beef that would be in the market to lower prices at the grocery store.
