ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills made a couple minor transactions ahead of their Week 9 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team announced Saturday afternoon that it had elevated cornerback Dane Jackson and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis from the practice squad.
Those moves came roughly 24 hours after Bills coach Sean McDermott said defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, wide receiver Joshua Palmer, and linebacker Shaq Thompson were all ruled out for Sunday's game.
Jones, dealing with a calf injury, was the only player who did not participate in practice this week and will miss his third straight game.
Palmer is out with knee and ankle issues after missing Wednesday's practice and being limited Thursday and Friday. The injury happened during a Week 6 loss in Atlanta before the
