A western Pennsylvania DoorDash driver has been sentenced to at least a year in state prison for stealing packages from porches and selling them in a multi-county scheme.
According to a statement from state Attorney General Dave Sunday, 35-year-old John Manning of Indiana County pleaded guilty to felony organized retail theft earlier in October.
Manning was sentenced to serve one to three years in prison followed by four years of probation.
Sunday said the crime spree covered Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties. Manning stole over $5,000 worth of goods in the packages.
Manning used his job as a DoorDash driver “to case potential targets,” according to the statement.
