The roller coaster of water restrictions at Grand Canyon National Park continued this week, as the National Park Service announced the return of stricter water conservation measures at the South Rim -- the third change in a month related to ongoing construction on the Transcanyon Waterline Replacement Project, which the park now anticipates will be completed in 2027.

Water restrictions went into effect at the South Rim on Sept. 29 , were increased just over a week later , and were eased on Oct. 17 .
