Andrew Mountbatten Windsor won't be forced to leave his Royal Lodge home immediately, according to reports.

As well as being stripped of his royal titles, the former Prince Andrew is being evicted from the 30-room Windsor property he's been living in rent-free for years.

He will be moving to an undisclosed residence at Sandringham , the royal family's private estate in Norfolk, at the expense of King Charles.

Announcing the King's decision earlier this week, Buckingham Palace said the move would be happening "as soon as possible and practicable".

However, according to the BBC, Andrew may not be vacating Royal Lodge until the new year – and it likely has everything to do with the royal family's Christmas tradition.
