As we head to Game 6, the Blue Jays hold a 3-2 series lead and can win at home. However, they have a tall task in front of them – solving Yoshinobu Yamamoto, whose last two outings have been complete nine-inning games with only one run allowed in each. In addition, since this could be curtains for the Dodgers, I would think pretty much all pitchers are available, including Shohei Ohtani in relief.
To counter Yamamoto, the Blue Jays send their best, Kevin Gausman (though maybe Yesavage has actually performed the best for the Jays). He pitched well in his last start, giving up three runs in 6.2 innings, but he was facing the aforementioned Yamamoto. The Blue Jays lost 5-1.
It’s Friday night. It’s Halloween. It’s an elimination game between two teams who have given us a lot of entertainment
