CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer is under investigation after a video circulating online allegedly shows the officer struggling with a female student as police attempt to break up a fight.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said on Friday, Oct. 31, one of their officers is under criminal investigation after a video circulating online purportedly shows the officer appearing to tase a girl and slamming her to the ground.
Officials said around 2:15 p.m., at dismissal, a large fight broke out at West Charlotte High School located near Batties Ford Road. Officers and the School Resource Officer were already outside in the bus lot when the fight started.
