EWA BEACH/KAPOLEI, Hawaii (Island News) -- In an e-bike/e-dirt bike operation police conducted in Ewa Beach and Kapolei on Thursday, three people were arrested and numerous warnings and citations were given.
Three e-dirt bikes were seized from the operation that took place in the Ewa and Kapolei areas on Thursday, Oct. 30. Three people were arrested for driving without a license and a previous warrant.
Along with the e-bike arrests, 15 warnings were given and 10 citations were issued.
“HPD reminds the public that high-speed e-dirt bikes are not approved for use on roadways and are extremely dangerous. Let’s work to create safer roads, together,” HPD said in a news release.
