WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?

Starting Saturday, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) will raise electricity usage rates, which London Hydro estimates will add $1.50 to $1.68 for every 100 kilowatt-hours to Londoners’ monthly bills.

The OEB sets the price of electricity and regulates the rates for three types of payment plans offered by local utilities such as London Hydro, and adds regulatory charges.

London Hydro offers three price plan options: time-of-use, tiered and ultra-low overnight.

For time-of-use customers, electricity rates are increasing across all time periods.
