TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Police temporarily closed a busy road on Friday after a cement truck damaged a fiber-optic cable line.
At 12:17 p.m., a cement truck completed pouring cement at a construction site along Pole Line Road East between Mountain View Drive and Bridgeview Boulevard, according to the Twin Falls Police Department.
Police said the driver forgot to lower a part of the truck when he entered onto the road. The truck grabbed onto the overhead line and tore it.
Police had to close the section of Pole Line Road East for around 45 minutes while the lines were down. There were no injuries.
The closure led to traffic backups around northern Twin Falls on Friday afternoon. The road has since been reopened.
