WEST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- The Halloween Parade -- there is nothing like it.

It is fun, festive...a bit frightening and always fantastic.

The parade route up Sixth Avenue in the Village was a cornucopia of costume creativity. Spectators come in from near and far, and floats are decked out with lights and plenty of party favorites.

You never know what you are going to see in the crowd, and that is a good reason to be present and take it all in.
