WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities say a suspect is still at large after a car chase that ended in a crash in east Wichita. Authorities also say they found one person in critical condition from a gunshot wound.

at around 7:00 p.m. Friday night near 9th and Edgemoor, Wichita police say they were patrolling a balloon release for a teenager who was shot and killed in the area last Halloween. Investigators say they received unverified information Friday afternoon that some kind of violence was going to take place. At the balloon release, police say they identified a man in violation of probation. That man and four other men took off in a car.
