Northshore used a bruising running game to dominate the second half en route to a 42-19 District 7-5A victory at Fontainebleau on Oct. 31.
With the win, Northshore (3-6, 2-1) sets up a home showdown with Slidell in Week 10. The winner of that game will earn a share of the district championship, something that has never been done in Northshore’s history.
“It’s going to be a battle, regardless, because it’s Slidell,” Northshore coach Bobby Sanders said. “They have a good team, so it ought to be an exciting week of practice, and hopefully we are ready to go.”
