BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - A new trade agreement between the United States and China is bringing relief and renewed optimism to American farmers, marking a pivotal moment after years of trade disputes.
On Thursday, the White House announced that China will soon resume substantial purchases of U.S. soybeans , a move expected to stabilize commodity prices and invigorate agricultural exports.
Under the terms of the deal, China has committed to buying 25 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans annually for the next three years. This agreement follows a period of tariff disagreements between the two nations that severely hampered agricultural exports and imposed increased costs on farmers.
