The Los Angeles Lakers have registered back-to-back road wins in the 2025-26 NBA season. With superstar guard Luka Doncic’s return to the team for their clash against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, the Lakers clinched the win. With the 117-112 victory, the Lakers opened their NBA Cup campaign on a winning note.

Luka Doncic was the star of the night, scoring 44 points on 14-of-27 shooting from the field, 12 rebounds, and six assists. As per ESPN’s Matt Williams, Doncic became the first Laker since legendary Kobe Bryant in 2007 to average 45 points over any three-game span.
