For the 2025–2026 academic year, the Center has authorized 62 additional postgraduate (PG) seats at six state-run medical schools and hospitals in Odisha.

In a letter to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi expressed his sincere thanks to you and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the kind clearance of 62 postgraduate seats in six government medical schools and hospitals in Odisha for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The CM termed it as a significant milestone in strengthening the medical education and healthcare infrastructure in western Odisha. “The additional PG seats will not only enhance the quality of medical teaching and learning but also improve specialised healthcare delivery for the people of the region,” he said.
