Owning your own home remains a dream for many

It finally happened. The hangover that would end the golden days of my frivolous and wondrous youth. The day that would have me questioning my very existence on this planet. The point of life. The point of breathing. The point of it all, really.

Back in January, I wrote in these pages about how I was changing my approach to alcohol. I promised myself that I would drink less and more mindfully. By all accounts, I have, but ­despite the best of intentions, life throws events, weddings and birthdays in your face.
