WINKELMAN — The Mohave Accelerated Learning Center football team's season came to an end on Friday night following a loss against top-seeded Hayden High School.
The Patriots previously beat Desert Heights Prep 59-0 in the opening round before falling to the two-time reigning State Champions.
MALC trailed 47-6 at halftime, but got its touchdown on a 60-yard run from Rylan Krahenbuhl. The Patriots went on to score one more touchdown in the second half from Owen Honegger, but allowed two more scores in the loss.
The Patriots won seven games in the regular season against Baboquivari, Salome, Valley Lutheran, Reed Rock, El Capitan and Desert Heights Prep. Their losses came against Mogollon, Williams, and Bagdad, while they will have just four seniors graduate from this year's team.
